Dr. Sanjay Receives Naik and Rastogi Award for Excellence in Ph.D. Research

We are pleased to share that Sanjay, a recent PhD graduate from our lab has been honoured with the Naik and Rastogi Award for Excellence in Ph.D. Research from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) for the year 2024–2026.

His doctoral research focused on the formation mechanism and evolution of non-metallic inclusions in Si-killed and Si-alloyed steels, with the broader objective of understanding inclusion behaviour and improving steel cleanliness. His work involved experimental investigations, thermodynamic and kinetic analysis, and advanced characterization of non-metallic inclusions and their evolution during steel processing.

We congratulate Sanjay on this well-deserved achievement and wish him continued success in his future research and academic endeavours.
